Safe Working At Heights
RIIWHS204D - 1 DAY COURSE
This nationally accredited course covers all aspects of working at heights including WHS obligations, equipment selection and correct use, travel restraint, work positioning and fall arrest systems. Anyone working in general construction, mining industries etc, whose work exposes them to potential falls over 1.8 meters from the ground, are legally required to wear and have the knowledge how to use fall restraint equipment.
The topics covered throughout this training course are as follows:
Identify work requirements, prepare for work
Access and install equipment
Perform work at heights
Recognise anchor points
This is nationally accredited training and participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and a pocket card for easy proof of qualification. Gladstone Job Skills recommends that persons who attend training in Work Safely at Heights should undertake a refresher training every 12 months.
Course training manual and support material will be provided.
Closed in shoes and appropriate clothing is required for the duration of the course.
1 x 8 hour day for up to 10 participants.

Follow the signs to classrooms.
Participants must be over 18 years of age.
Identification such as QLD drivers licence, 18+card or birth certificate will be required.
Anyone found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to leave the course.
