Cancellation and Refund Policy for Training Courses

Important Note:

Participants undertaking training courses need to process clear understanding of both the written and verbal English language.  It is the responsibility of the participant or any agent booking a course on participant’s behalf to ensure that they have a thorough understanding of English that should enable them to complete both theory, practical, written and verbal components of the course. Workplace Health and Safety assessments must be completed in the English language and interpreters are not permitted unless the applicant is hearing impaired and in this will require authorisation from Workplace Health and Safety prior to completing the course.

  1. Upon booking a course: a deposit, full payment or purchase order number must be made or supplied, depending on the date of the course at the time of the booking.  No names will be positioned on the participant list until one of the above three payment methods is used.  Purchase orders are to be e-mailed to gladstonejobskills@eftel.net.au or fax to (07) 4972 4529
  2. If a deposit is taken the remaining balance must be made in full within 5 working days prior to course commencement.
  3. Cancellations received more then 10 working days prior to the commencement of course will be able to transfer to a future course, cancellations will otherwise incur a 10% administration fee of full course cost, and the balance of course deposit or full payment refunded.
  4. Cancellations including transfers between 5 to 10 working days will forfeit 50% of course fee.
  5. Cancellations including transfers received within 5 working days of the course will forfeit 100% of the course fee paid, unless someone else is nominated to attend in your place.
  6. If you enrol within 5 days of the course commencing and cancel, you will forfeit your right to receive a refund or credit.
  7. Non-attendance will result in the full course fee being charged.
  8. Sometimes Gladstone Job Skills find it necessary to cancel a course due to low enrolments or unforeseen changes in circumstances.  We try to give at least 2 working days notice but this is not always possible.  If your course is cancelled you can transfer your deposit or payment to another course or course date, or receive a full refund.  The above cancellation conditions will not apply where Gladstone Job skills cancels any training course.
  9. If you are unable to attend a class please phone during business hours (7.30am – 4pm, Monday to Friday).  After hours please leave a message on the answering machine.
  10. Clients who have grievance with any of the above policy must put in writing their grievance and this will be answered in writing from the management of Gladstone Job skills.
